The fourth podcast has gone live at the end of May, a delay (again) impacted by the delay of the last podcast, Ofsted visiting and an ear infection. I think I am beginning to sound like a hypochondriac. The feature focus this month is with South Essex College’s Learning Technology Manager Ben Hutchens, a truly passionate techie and one who firmly believes that there is a convergence of technologists and educationalist in FE. As ever I am truly grateful for Ben’s input and helping with this podcast.
The third podcast finally went live at the end of April, a huge delay due to illness (you can hear it in the pre-recorded interview during feature focus) workload, but I got there eventually again there are no show notes for this as it is made up of last months blog.
The feature focus is with South Essex College’s Apprentice Learning Technologists…
- Dan (Southend Campus)
- Jennifer (Basildon Campus)
- Tom (Basildon Campus)
…and again I am truly grateful for their input and helping this podcast, especially with me feeling sorry for myself. I really wanted to get the apprentices early on in their roles, some three months, and hopefully will be talking with them again at the later part of the year alongside newer apprentices.
I am hoping that workload permitting that the next podcast will not be as late in the month! (it’s all a learning curve)
The second podcast has now gone live, and I have had some great feedback on the first, hopefully this a little tighter in production values. So again there are no show notes for this as it is made up of last months blog.
The feature focus is with South Essex Colleges Learning Technologists…
- Adam (Southend Campus)
- Milan (Thurrock Campus)
- Russell (Basildon Campus)
…and for which I am truly grateful for their input and helping this podcast mature. What really struck me about the learning technologists is they all come from a range of backgrounds and are genuinely enthusiastic about the technology and the role itself. I am keen to see how the role of the apprentice learning technologists, an upcoming feature focus, evolve at their hands.
Note: All three were interviewed separately and then interleaved with each other – did you realise?
The first podcast episode has now gone live, I always thought it funny when you hear actors who never watch themselves on TV or in their own films, I so get it now!
I debated on making show-notes but I think I am going to go against that, as most of my content will be about this blog anyway, maybe I will do an overview of any guests that are on the podcast. The show notes from this podcast are effectively in “About…. the Blogger” at the top of this blog.
Each episode to be released by the end of the first full week of each month.
